You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, assist guests and tenants with friendly customer service, and document observations using site tools. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Control access and observe visitor and vendor activity in assigned areas, assisting with directions and supporting property rules while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document and report patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations using Allied Universal reporting procedures, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or local responders.
