As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist customers and store teams with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements, supporting patrol coverage across the property. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, retail site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the store, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
  • Observe customer and employee activity and monitor alarms and/or CCTV when assigned; report suspicious behavior and policy violations to store management and/or law enforcement as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and fire or evacuation events.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, support investigations with statements and video reviews when requested, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
