About The Position

As a Security Officer - Rover Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and requests for assistance, document observations, and deliver customer-focused communication with tenants, guests, and management. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and completing security-related access control as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other property systems when assigned, document observations, and communicate notable conditions to property management and/or local responders as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation, crowd management, and coordination with on-site staff and/or emergency services.
  • Complete required reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, and report policy violations or unusual activity through the proper channels.
