About The Position

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Driver in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal supporting a fast-paced tech location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a high-visibility presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and assist with access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and report concerns regarding unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or suspicious behavior; assist with visitor direction and general site information as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders when required.
• Complete detailed incident and patrol documentation, communicate significant events to supervision and/or site leadership, and support security-related investigations as directed.
