Job Description As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in New London, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at the location, completing routine rounds, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support access control when needed, and deliver a customer-focused presence. Bring teamwork and integrity to a caring culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access points when assigned, controlling entry and exit per post orders and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
