About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist tenants and visitors with professional service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a caring people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a commercial property location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that need attention.
  • Monitor access points and respond to door alarms and/or unauthorized entry attempts, and assist with key, badge, and visitor management processes as directed by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting property management and/or emergency services when required and assisting with evacuations as directed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance-related observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
