As a Screener in a fast-paced tech location, you will welcome employees and visitors while supporting access screening and entry procedures, checking credentials, monitoring assigned areas, and completing routine patrols. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to questions with outstanding customer service, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders at a tech and/or telecom location.
- Conduct entry screening of employees, contractors, and visitors, including verification of credentials and screening of bags, packages, and deliveries as required by site policy.
- Monitor access points, surveillance video, and/or alarm systems; document observations and report unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management to help to deter policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and emergency response actions per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter, noting conditions and completing required logs and incident reports.
