As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site access by screening visitors, monitoring activity, and documenting security-related observations using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay visible, provide clear customer service, and communicate concerns to the team with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required under AU driver policy requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen inbound and outbound personnel, visitors, and deliveries at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, and follow escalation procedures when items are not authorized.
- Control access to the location by verifying identification, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, issuing badges when applicable, and directing traffic to appropriate check-in areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, report hazards, and document unusual conditions.
