About The Position
As a Security Officer - Security Screener in Greenwood, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a tech and/or media location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct entry screening at designated access points, including verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing visitors, vendors, and employees according to site procedures.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, access control notifications, and other incident indicators in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Perform security-related screening of bags, packages, and deliveries as required by site policy, documenting findings and maintaining chain of custody when applicable.
- Complete required logs and reports, communicate post updates during shift turnovers, and support site operations with a professional, service-focused presence.
