Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics distribution location as a Screener, where you will greet drivers and team members, verify credentials, screen entry points, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain visible to help reduce incidents, communicate clearly with site leadership, and support smooth traffic flow. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control and security-related procedures at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with post orders, including verifying identification and appointment or shipment documentation.
  • Monitor entry points and processing areas using security-related systems such as cameras, visitor logs, and alarm notifications, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and completing required notifications and reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, staging lanes, and perimeter routes when directed by site procedures, noting hazards and/or irregular conditions.
