As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will make rounds by vehicle and on foot, monitor assigned areas, and help reduce security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with shoppers, store teams, and local partners. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances and exits, stock areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting on-site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Monitor for unusual activity and potential policy violations, helping to deter theft and/or disruption through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and location management.
