As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and questions, document observations, and communicate clearly with on-site teams. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a retail property by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, tenant storefront corridors, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with property rule compliance, and coordinating support from site leadership and/or local responders as needed.
- Monitor for security-related concerns such as loitering, disorderly conduct, theft indicators, and unauthorized access, and document observations according to post orders.
- Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management, and assist with directions and general guest support as needed.
