Requirements

A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at a tech, media, and/or telecom location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and/or vendor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Observe for unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and/or hazards, then report findings per site protocol.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and summoning additional resources as needed.
Write clear and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or policy exceptions using required paper and/or electronic systems.
Provide assistance to employees, guests, and contractors with directions, information, and general site support while maintaining a professional presence.
Support emergency and/or business continuity procedures, including notifications, evacuations, and coordination with local responders when directed.
Operate communication equipment such as radios and phones to coordinate patrol activity and incident response.
Participate in shift briefings, follow post orders, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
