POSITION SUMMARY Provides supervision for at-risk patients in a hospital environment. The Patient Watch Officer's protect staff, patients, and visitors and ensure that all hospital property is secure. These officers patrol the building and its grounds, monitor all activity in and out of the hospital, and endeavor to prevent vandalism, theft, fire, and disturbances within the facility. Requirements

Completed High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.,help restrain or lift a person
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor and/or HSS a Tarian company
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), HSS a Tarian company's Taser Policy

Responsibilities

You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
