About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Company Patrol in Los Gatos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and customer directives.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office, studio, and/or campus areas, including interior corridors, common areas, and exterior perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry points and verify credentials as required, issue visitor directions and/or badges per site policy, and report access concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations and incidents to the client and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
