Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Patrol in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a positive atmosphere while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members while documenting incidents and/or unusual occurrences as required.
- Follow post orders and instructions from Allied Universal supervisors to maintain compliance with client expectations and site requirements.
