About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Patrol in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors and exteriors, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with site staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry points as required by site policy.
  • Support the maintenance of a secure environment by observing and reporting any maintenance or operational concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development provided by Allied Universal to remain updated on security-related practices and procedures.
