About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Patrol Driver Full-Time in Wilmer, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements. You will deliver strong customer service and communication while supporting a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting issues per site procedure.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders, and supporting site incident protocols.
  • Support access control activities such as greeting and directing visitors, checking identification and/or credentials as required, maintaining visitor logs, and helping to manage deliveries and service calls.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and communications channels when assigned, and complete shift reports and incident documentation with accurate, timely details.
