Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology facility.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior areas, exterior grounds, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization, and assist with visitor management processes including sign-in, badges, and directing guests to approved locations.
Observe and report unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and policy violations; take appropriate action within post orders and request assistance when needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical situations, and service interruptions.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, fencing, lighting, and other physical controls; document deficiencies and notify site contacts according to site procedures.
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, using clear and accurate documentation for security-related events, patrol findings, and customer service interactions.
Support technology and infrastructure operations by maintaining post coverage, coordinating with on-site teams during planned maintenance windows, and assisting with traffic control for service vendors as directed.
Operate site communications and reporting tools as assigned, such as radios, phones, and/or electronic tour systems, while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive site information.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific conduct standards, including uniform requirements, professional communication, and timely escalation of concerns through the chain of command.
