As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Concierge in Sandston, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access support activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
Support day-to-day operations by completing assigned reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and following post orders related to security-related procedures, customer service, and incident response.
