As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication with students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Riding a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct routine and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and/or fire alarms, and notify appropriate campus contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior, and assist with directions, escorts, and/or other campus service requests when assigned.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident reports, and/or patrol logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
