As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by conducting screening operations, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting access control procedures. You will remain highly visible, complete routine patrols, document and communicate activity, and deliver customer-focused assistance to team members and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen personnel, belongings, and/or property entering designated areas using approved screening methods and equipment, and follow escalation procedures for prohibited or suspicious items.
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials when required, and maintaining screening and access logs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring dock and gate activity, documenting irregular conditions, and reporting maintenance or operational concerns that may impact security-related procedures.
