About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Checkpoint Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support visitor and contractor check-in while monitoring activity and completing routine patrols. You will stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document observations, and deliver strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in processes.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and access control systems; report irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by promptly communicating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, preserving information for reports, and coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including perimeter and restricted zones, watching for hazards, unsecured doors, and policy violations; document findings and report maintenance issues as needed.
