Job Description As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, control access, and document security-related activity while staying visible to help to deter incidents. This is a driving post, so you will move between key areas and respond to calls for assistance. Bring clear communication, customer service, and integrity as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a chemical and/or petrochemical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and follow established check-in and check-out procedures for employees, contractors, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, supporting evacuations, and coordinating with on-site personnel as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and unusual activity reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts.
