As an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior; report conditions through the required channels and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions, coordinating with site contacts, and notifying campus resources and/or local responders when needed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate shift activity to supervisors and/or incoming personnel to support consistent post operations.
