You will complete routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, and team members. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific access procedures, checking identification and/or credentials, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and amenities by monitoring entry and exit activity, issuing visitor passes per policy, and documenting deliveries, contractors, and service calls.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or onsite management as appropriate and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other access control systems, report unusual activity, and communicate updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
