Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Morrisville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a driving patrol unarmed officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while supporting a caring, people-first culture. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus location.
• Support access control by monitoring entrances and visitor check-in processes, verifying credentials, and directing authorized guests to the proper areas according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to the appropriate contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and monitor alarms and/or camera systems when assigned.
