As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, service-focused assistance, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorization where required, and directing patients, visitors, and vendors to the appropriate areas.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity using required reporting tools, and communicate status updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
