About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. You will document activity, respond to security-related concerns, and use a computer and/or tablet for reporting. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED and provide proof as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes, observing and reporting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, assisting with access issues, and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and authorized areas, verifying credentials and/or visitor permissions, and directing individuals to the appropriate department while maintaining posted access requirements.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate pertinent observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
