Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Loading Dock Patrol in QUEENS, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols and high-visibility presence, helping to discourage security-related incidents. You will observe and report concerns, assist staff and visitors with clear communication, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government services environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting actions taken, and communicating updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including public-facing service areas, offices, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required by site procedures, and help to manage visitor flow in accordance with posted rules and directions.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when directed by site procedures.
