Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Medical Facility Patrol in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and strong customer service, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes vaccines.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting observations per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, visitor flow, and restricted areas, and by directing individuals to appropriate check-in and/or departments as needed.
  • Operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, such as radios, cameras, and/or access control systems, and communicate status updates to the site point of contact.
