Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal at a shelter location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help support a secure environment. You will complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, manage access points, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Bring strong customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and driven by integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, assisting with access issues, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
• Monitor entrances and common areas, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor management and/or resident accountability per site guidelines.
• Document patrols, observations, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
