As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support customers and store teams with clear communication and assistance. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative as priorities shift throughout the day.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, and exterior perimeter areas to help to identify hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, loading and service areas, and/or key access points, helping to manage unauthorized entry and maintain orderly foot traffic during peak shopping hours.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and preserve information for follow-up as required.
