About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver Nights in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech campus location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, and innovation, supporting a caring culture through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having a guard card/license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating timely information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, lab areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and perform access control duties such as checking identification, confirming visitor authorization, issuing temporary badges, and directing foot and vehicle traffic per site policy.
- Complete patrol and incident documentation, including shift logs and reports, and report hazards and/or maintenance concerns observed during rounds.
