About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver Role in Knightdale, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine driving rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to concerns. This is a driving post requiring a Valid Driver's License ‐ AU Driver Policy Requirements, supported by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, integrity-driven teamwork culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the warehouse, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and shipping and receiving areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and assist with visitor, contractor, and driver check-in and directions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and the client representative.
