As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail and dining location, completing routine rounds, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and supporting guests and team members with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets AU Driver Policy Requirements, as you may conduct vehicle patrols and respond across the property.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property, interior areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and activity on the property, supporting access control and verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization when required.
  • Complete reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and follow post orders and escalation procedures.
