About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service and communication to employees and visitors. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, trespass, theft, or suspicious activity through established communication channels.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
