About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will complete routine rounds, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related concerns while supporting employees and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with mobile patrols, clear communication, and detailed reporting. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns and/or unusual activity.
- Monitor access points and perform access control tasks such as checking identification, directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process, and helping to deter unauthorized entry in accordance with site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and patrol findings, and communicate relevant security-related information during shift transitions.
