As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols and inspections, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including fire or gas alarm activations, access control concerns, and medical calls, and escalate to site leadership and/or local responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farm and/or loading areas, administrative spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, leaks, or unusual conditions.
  • Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, and deliveries by verifying authorization, monitoring gates and/or doors, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site rules.
  • Complete timely documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol findings, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
