About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Operations in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate parties per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of operational areas and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, gates, and/or building entrances, verify credentials where required, and document authorized entries and exits in logs.
• Complete routine reports and shift documentation, communicate observations to oncoming personnel, and support site operations with security-related assistance as needed.
