About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team, bringing our agile, reliable, and caring culture to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting designated personnel and/or public emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or authorization as directed, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity according to site requirements.
  • Prepare clear written reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site representatives.
