As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will deliver clear communication and customer service to patients, staff, and guests while reporting concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas for unusual conditions, assist with wayfinding, and help maintain orderly flow of foot traffic in high-activity spaces.
  • Document observations, incidents, and shift activities in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers.
