About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to issues as they arise, support access control and site policies, and deliver customer-focused service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and promptly communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, loading and delivery zones and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor workflows as assigned, verifying credentials and directing employees, contractors and guests according to site-specific requirements.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation and handoff communications, using site tools as required to support continuity across shifts.
