Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to issues as they arise, support access control and site policies, and deliver customer-focused service through clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech-focused location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and promptly communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, loading and delivery zones and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points and visitor workflows as assigned, verifying credentials and directing employees, contractors and guests according to site-specific requirements.
- Complete routine reports, incident documentation and handoff communications, using site tools as required to support continuity across shifts.
