As a Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will make routine rounds through campus areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical support requests as directed, and fire and/or life alarm activations.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe cameras and/or alarms as assigned, assisting with visitor management, authorized entry, and reporting suspicious activity to on-site leadership and/or public sector partners.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in daily logs and incident reports, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site stakeholders.
