About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, use computer or tablet tools for reports and badges, and deliver customer-focused service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and control entry for authorized personnel and vehicles, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor processing and directions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, access activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate information promptly to the appropriate contacts.
