As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist visitors and staff, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting site procedures. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify irregular conditions, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives, and support security-related operations as directed.
