Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol High School Diploma in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Bring teamwork, integrity, and an agile mindset to support a reliable, customer-focused presence every shift.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
Monitor access points by observing visitor and employee movement, supporting badge and/or credential checks as directed, and reporting access concerns to site leadership.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance from onsite staff and/or public emergency services when needed.
Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
