As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to incidents and/or alarms, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and other suspicious activity.
- Monitor access points, gates, and restricted areas; verify identification and/or authorization for entry and coordinate visitor and contractor access per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, equipment issues, and suspicious conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate status updates during shift turnovers.
