About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Rounds in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and guests, assist with directions and concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Bring reliability, agility, and integrity as you document activity, respond to issues, and support a caring, team-focused culture.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and other security-related policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, garages, loading docks, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify maintenance, lighting, and access concerns.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and public emergency services as directed.
• Control access at designated points, verify credentials when required, and manage visitor and delivery traffic in accordance with site rules and post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, property staff, and oncoming shifts.
