As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations and communicate clearly using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and supporting staff until additional resources arrive.
Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, verifying authorized entry, screening for prohibited items per site policy, and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, including incident documentation, patrol activity, and shift turnover notes, and communicate updates promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
